The winner of the Melbourne Cup in 2007, Efficient has been pulled out of this years race. Last year’s winner, Efficient was officially scratched due to a sore ankle joint and foreleg. Owner Lloyd William’s said Efficient was at his private training property, which is at Macedon Lodge.

”He worked yesterday morning and seemed fine afterwards.’’ he said. Sadly, it appears that he will not be racing again for at least three months.
