Digital TV switch from analogue

By December 31 2013, analogue TV can be switched off. This would be a relief for broadcasters and retailers. Progress reports will be provided from the Australian Communications and Media Authority. This is a Bill which will now go to the senate.

Telstra partners with Microsoft to deliver IT services

Telstra says forming an alliance with Microsoft to deliver IT services and software will lead to Australian businesses increasing their productivity.

New touchscreen device for elderly receives $3.6 million grant

University of Melbournes new supercomputer

A $100-million dollar supercomputer will be built at the University of Melbourne for biomedical research.
The Victorian Premier, John Brumby, announced the project in San Diego overnight.
The powerful computers will be used to process complex data for research on the life sciences.
