Darwin to be LNG Capital of the World

Darwin is set to be “the floating LNG capital of the world”, Northern Territory Minister for Primary Industry, Fisheries and Resources Kon Vatskalis says.

Wayne Swan believes Mining Tax should not be delayed

Less than 24 hours after rural independent, Tony Windsor, sided with Labor, Wayne Swan has ruled out the inclusion of the mining tax in the tax summit offered to the independents in return for them supporting Labor.

University of Melbournes new supercomputer

A $100-million dollar supercomputer will be built at the University of Melbourne for biomedical research.
The Victorian Premier, John Brumby, announced the project in San Diego overnight.
The powerful computers will be used to process complex data for research on the life sciences.
