VIC government schools to audit water use

The Victorian Government is making it mandatory for all government schools to audit their water use in an attempt to reduce unnecessary water usage and encourage efficient water use habits.
Roughly 400 schools have voluntarily taken part in the schools water efficiency program and on average, they have cut their water use by 13 per cent.

University of Melbournes new supercomputer

A $100-million dollar supercomputer will be built at the University of Melbourne for biomedical research.
The Victorian Premier, John Brumby, announced the project in San Diego overnight.
The powerful computers will be used to process complex data for research on the life sciences.
